Travelling Outside of Manitoba

  • Information regarding medical coverage when you are travelling outside of Manitoba. 
  • The United States is within close proximity to Southwest Manitoba and you may be interested in spending some leisure time across the border.  Before you start your journey you should become familiar with the travel regulations that immigrants and Canadian citizens need to follow.  For more information on forms and regulations you can visit the US Customs and Border Protection website. 
  • If you are not a Canadian citizen you will need a visa 1-94W. This form can be found at any border crossing. You must have your passport to get the visa. This form requires anyone over 14 years of age to be fingerprinted and photographed. There is a fee for the visa that must be paid at the time in US currency. When crossing the border you need to allow extra time for this process.
