- If you have school aged children you may be able to find an after/before school care program. Talk to your child’s school office or the school division for names and contact information regarding the available programs.
- To help Manitoban families with the cost of child care a monthly subsidy payment may be issued. You must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident of Canada, Convention Refugee or Protected Person, meet residency requirements and have a valid reason for needing child care. - Canada Child Tax Benefit: You can apply for Child Tax Benefit if you have children under the age of 18 living with you. This benefit program is a federal government program that provides monthly payments to help you with the cost of raising your children. The payments are made to a parent who has the responsibility of the child’s care.
- Universal Child Care Benefit: The Universal Child Care Benefit (UCCB) is paid monthly to help eligible families provide child care for their children under the age of six. The UCCB provides families with a $100 monthly payment (up to $1,200 annually) for each qualified child.

- If you are unable to find a child care center in the community of your choice on line, you may need to communicate with your local town office. There are many un-licensed child care centres within each community commonly found in family homes.
